Which sizes do I actually need?

The 32×32 and 16×16 PNGs cover desktop tabs, 180×180 is used by iOS home screens, and 192×192 and 512×512 are required by Android and PWA manifests.

Why is my logo cropped?

Favicons are square, so the largest centred square is taken from the source. Pad the artwork to a square before uploading if the edges matter.

Is my logo uploaded?

No. Cropping and PNG encoding happen on a canvas in your browser; the file is never sent anywhere.
